My Humble Dutie considride vnto your Honor Pleasithe it the same to be aduertiside
That I did receyve letteres ffrome my most especiall good Lordes, my
L of Penbroke my L of Laicestre and your honor to conclud and agre the
officers of the mynorall affaires & Mr Curwen ffor one parcell of ground
at Workinton which the said officers do desire to haue infarine of the said
Mr Curwen, I haue accordinge to your Honors Commandement bene at
the ground with Mr nethin one of the said officers & vewed the said which
conteynith nere xij acres of ground And as I thought Mr Curwen
was verye Strait to aske xiijli vjs viijd in the yere for the rent yerof [?thereof]
So I thought Mr Nethin verye hard to offer but xxvjs viijd rent for
that ground But I did perswaide the said Mr Curwen to lett the same ~
ground ffor fyve poundes rent in the yere which in my openyon is indiferent
Althoughe Mr Nethin thinke he maye not conclud without your Honores consent
And of truth Mr Curwen wold not departe with that ground but onelie
to further the mynerall affaires ffor it lyethe in the middest of
his demayne which is his greatist lyvinge / Mr Curwens humble
Sute vnto your Honores is that the lettinge of this parcell of ground
be not hurtfull to any thinge which he and his Auncestors haue bene
Accustomed to haue without memorye of man which shall appere
your honor by the said Mr Curwens demandes which he will requyer
by his indenture of lease of the said ground Your honor shall
receyve herewith one platte of the ground which the mynores do /
And so humblie take my leave Prainge god to send vnto your
honor your Hartes desire with much encrease of honor ffrome
