Besides, supposing hit to be your L willes, I dooe determyn,
when any other lyke shipping shall happen to falle in
to thies portes, to preserve and put them in safety vntill
daungers of the seas, by meanes of the frenche, that awaite
ther spoile, be better cleered, or at lest tyll your L farther
commaundements, vsing them the meane whiles with suche fauorable
curtesy, as they can not suppose other then //as\\ is in deede, there owne
comodyty and safety better looked vnto, then them selfes coulde
prouive for. Whiche, they of plymouthe, yt broughte the mony,
dooe seeme to acknowlege with owteward shewe of thanke-
fullenes, to whome, both for ther present lackes, and ther
better appeasement, as well with thies dooings, as with
them sellfes together, being redy to spark scatter away to
brawle, and offer violence to ther cheefes, I have deliuered
three hvndred crownes owte of ther broken cheste, taken
owt ................. and my associates, as also of
the same Spanyardes, whoose ........ ..eipte thereof

sufficient nombre of eyther side, thinking meete, vnles
your honors commaunde otherwise, to continewe lyke deliverance
to them, for ther needes, vpon good viewe and accompte of
the same. And thus commytting your honorable L to
